Apartment Review for Residences At The Falls - Miami, FL

i have lived in this apartment for 9 months now. and all i have to say is im disgusted by this complex... about a month after we moved in our air conditioner broke. we filed complaint to the office they came out to fix it... it then broke again along with a broken window(was there when we got her) as well as broken bath tiles, that we were promised would be fixed... we filed a complaint. no response. about a week later another complaint no response. it has been 8 months that me and my child have been living without a/c becuase they refuse to come and fix it. oh and in about august, i was taking a shower and all of a sudden we lost hot water. we filed a complaint, they didnt come out. so now we have no hot water,no a/c, the humidity has caused mushrooms and mold to grow all over the house, the a/c is leaking, carpet is wet, ants,roaches,broken kitchen sink,broken cabinets... none of this they will come out to fix. well i stopped paying rent because i dont think i should pay rent when they are not keeping their end of the lease agreement. they sent me an eviction notice. and i went to the court and i gave them all the money. i got my court date yesterday! this is how serious it has become, COURT! this complex fixes up the outside and the apartments for sale to attract people to come and rent/ buy but they are trapping you. they dont fix or maintain about the rentals. they are money hungry and dont really think we are worthy or a/c and hot water. i feel as if paying 1100 a month is going towards nothing! this is really disgusting, and a health inspector has come out(we werent home at the time) and he notified us that on the outside alone they have 16 violations! and if they are not fixed withen 90 days then they have the health inspector to deal with. im just letting you know do not rent/buy/ or come near any of these apartments if you know whats good for you.
